HarperCollins Is Creating Its Own Video Studio

How important is video to your book’s overall marketing strategy? Well, HarperCollins apparently thinks it’s extremely important. They announced this week that they are starting their own video production studio. Here’s an excerpt from Publishers Weekly:

Showing its commitment to video as a promotional tool for books, HarperCollins has unveiled plans to launch its own in-house production arm. The studio, which will make internet video, will be, according to the house, “modeled on a newsroom environment.”

Get on those videos, people! They can do wonders to help you sell books.
